KARACHI: New office-bearers and members of the executive committee of the Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) have been elected for the term of 2023.
According to sources, the 66th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the KTBA was held and the new office-bearers and members of the executive committee were elected for 2023.
The KTBA is one of the largest and most prestigious associations in Pakistan as it continues to play a vital role in promoting tax awareness and advocacy. Therefore, the new office-bearers and members of the committee are expected to lead the association and drive positive change not within the KTBA but in the taxation regime of the country.
The elected office-bearers for the term of 2023 are as follows:
Syed Zafar Ahmed was elected as the President, Iqbal Ahmad Abdan as the Vice President, Muhammad Mehmood Bikiya as the General Secretary, Abdul Wahab as the Joint Secretary, and Shiraz Khan as the Librarian.
In addition, the following members were elected to the executive committee:
Asim Rizwani Sheikh, Ehtisham Qadir, Mohammad Hanif Razzak, Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant, Murtaza Qurban, Samiullah Khan, Shams Mohiuddin Ansari, and Syed Hamza Ahmed Hashmi.
