KARACHI: Silver prices on Monday hit the all-time highs on the local market, traders said. The prices scaled up by Rs80 to the record levels of Rs2350 per tola and Rs68.59 to Rs2014.74 per 10 grams.
On the world market, silver stood for $23.98 per ounce.
Gold prices also posted a sizeable gain on the local market, up by Rs1200 to Rs209500 per tola and Rs1028 to Rs179612 per 10 grams. Traders said that gold was available for $1970 per ounce on the world market.
