ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Wednesday fixed minimum bill for gas consumers at Rs500. Fixed charges of Rs500 have been slapped on the bills of non-protected consumers.

Totaly rubbish, remove meters, atleast SSGC will not be spending manufacturing cost from their revenues... if fixed charges unjustified regime is to be implemented.... Problem is rates not aligned with production cost at well head, Pakistani companies still being paid on Rs 100~300/mmbtu, foreign companies in $ around 3~5/mmbtu... Plus line losses of > 17%+...

@Aamir Latif, I think we need another massively wasteful mismanaged project for the mass consumption of natural gas similar to Musharrafs cng lollipop, so the nation can finally once and for all be rid of this natural resource. An utterly incompetent set of leaders and incomprehensibly egotistical manics knows as the citizens who feel everything should be provided for free and every one else should look after them because they’re the “chosen ones”, while the “chosen ones” themselves have barely any comprehension of something as simple as littering or driving. The country is in a pit of a quick sand that it is unlikely to ever come out of
