Rain-hit people: Qaim distributes cheques

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here on Saturday distributed cheques amongst rain-hit people. Speaking on the occasion, he said in the year 2012 some 7 million people were affected in flood and 3.1 million people have been affected due to heavy rains.
He said the government is extending assistance to the rain-hit people. He said the government has also assisted the flood-hit people in the year 2010. He distributed cheques of Rs 0.3 million each to their heirs of 21 people who died during the rains.
