PTI peace march: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will create no hurdle, says minister

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Monday that provincial government would not create hurdles in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf peace march to South Waziristan, saying that PTI was being fully facilitated to organise public rallies elsewhere in the country.
"We are not against any political party, as every party has own ideology and manifesto, he said while briefing the reporters regarding the decisions of the 52nd meeting of KP Cabinet chaired by KP Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti here at provincial secretariat.
Mian Iftikhar said KP government had no intention to create any impediments before the PTI peace march to South Wazirstan. "We hope to have maximum strength of PTI to organise such public rallies in different parts of the province, he added. Regarding the decisions of the cabinet meeting, he said the meeting had given approval to draft bill for establishment of KP private schools. The bill, he said, would be tabled in the KP Legislation Assembly for formally endorsement. He informed the authority would oversee the matters relating to registration, regulations and other essential affairs for implementation and uniformity in decisions taken by the government.
Owing the growing expenditure of Tameer-e-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa programme, he said the meeting in principally approved the increase in funds from one million rupees to two million rupees for the programme. Following the thoroughly review of the draft of Travel Agencies, Hotels, Restaurant, and Tourists Guide Act, he said the meeting had given approval, and expressed concern over federal government's delaying tactics for transferring of assets of Pakistan Tourism in light of 18th constitutional amendments to KP.
Mian Iftikhar said the meeting had deferred the proposal of few members of Provincial Assembly to increase royalty of oil and gas to districts, where the natural resources were discovering, and decided unanimously to unchanged the existing policy in this regard. He said that meeting had also given approval for amendments in Labour Laws as necessary after the devolution of the affairs to provinces under the 18th constitutional amendments.
The meeting also approved the draft of KP Provincial Service Academy Act 2012 and directed the departments concerned to get Vet before presenting the draft in KP Assembly, he maintained. The Provincial Minister also expressed grave concern over the slow pace of post-18th amendments legislation process in the province, and the meeting proposed to hire services of legal experts to speedily complete the legislation process.
