ISLAMABAD: The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased by Rs23.87 per kg with effect from August 1, 2023.
According to a notification issued on Monday by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the new prices will come into effect from August 1 to August 31.
As per the notification, the previous price was approximately Rs177 per kg; the new rate will now stand at Rs201 per kg.
After the increase, the new price of the 11.8kg LPG domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs2,373.64: a significant increase from the previous month of Rs2,092, resulting in a rise of Rs282 per cylinder.
The price of a commercial cylinder has also increased from Rs8,049 to Rs9,132.
