Notification for setting-up of PS in Hayatabad industrial estate greeted
PESHAWAR: Industrialists praised the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, for issuance of a notification for establishment of a police station (PS) at Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar, which, according to them, was a long-standing demand.
In a statement issued here on Sunday by president of Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) Malik Imran Ishaq lauded the IGP KP Akhtar Hayat Gandapur for issuance of a notification to establish a police station and steps to ensure safety and security in the estate.
He said industrialists held a meeting with IGP KP Akhtar Hayat Gandapur in which the provincial police chief promised that prompt steps would be taken to establish a police station. IAP chief said IGP has issued a formal notification two days ago regarding establishment of a police station in Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar by following his commitment, which is highly appreciable.
Malik Imran said that the matter relating to setting up of a police station was taken up with government, police department and relevant authorities several occasions since last a decade.
But, he said the incumbent provincial police chief in first meeting with industrialists made a promise to take steps on a fast-track basis for establishment of a police station.
Malik Imran Ishaq said the police chief has ensured practical implementation of his commitment, which was highly commendable.
