FAISALABAD: Pakistan and Vietnam must make serious and collaborative efforts to exploit the untapped trade potential between the two countries, said Nguyen Tien Phong, ambassador of Vietnam.
Talking to Dr Khurram Tariq, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), he said that there are vast possibilities for the promotion of trade between the two countries and efforts are being made in this regard. He said that apart from supplying raw materials, Vietnam can also provide modern technology to Pakistan, but the private sectors of both countries play their role.
The Vietnam ambassador appreciated the efforts of President FCCI and said that the dynamic and active businessmen of both countries must work together to promote mutual cooperation.
Dr Khurram Tariq said that Faisalabad is the most important industrial, commercial and business city located in the middle of the country.
He said that by establishing industries here, Vietnamese investors can not only benefit from the local market of 220 million, but the surplus production can also be exported to Central Asian states.
He invited Nguyen Tien Phong to visit FCCI so that he could understand the industrial potential of the city and also interact directly with the local businessmen.
