I just meet on video call with a pujab guy who is doing Toyota parts business from Pakistan and ask him why you not start the company in Pakistan for these parts maybe very easy. He replied, I can but if I start, one the very next day I can't come to my house and the security agencies will disappear me. So sad for you people when I hear this. For what are these agencies. Is they are security? I don't think

surplus? why nobody complained the economy is not increase? why nobody asked why the old IPPs without generation ability still have so huge capacity payment? if really surplus, why always have load shedding without any defects?

This is the CRIME of the people of Pakistan why their country is generating surplus electricity? Why do we pay capacity charges, while we are NOT getting enough electricity to fulfill our need?

This is Ridiculous. LESCO carried out lot of load shedding during the month and now claims charges for surplus production. Their Complaint offices do not respond to phone calls, they keep them off. Mismanagement at its peak.

In very simple words, the thieves and corrupt officials are out of control with their greedy intentions. Because of this faithful but shameful horde, what little is left of the sliding economy, is heading towards destruction.

I urge all the Pakistanis to work hard day & night to pay the electricity bill since all your money will go in electricity bills. Nation must stand to support Discos and rental power plants mafia and declare one year fasting with no food expenses so these rental power plants elites can make alot of money.

@Leo, loadshedding only occurs in areas where bill payment is low. I live in a small town in Sindh and we don't have load shedding. While neighboring towns suffer.

@undefined this idea is stupid, you should censure the IMF leaded this viewpoint rather than complain the CPEC. have you compared with the electrical tariff with the USA or the Europe? which is higher? how the CPEC projects tariff? China invest Pakistan just because of the friendship and want to develop the country, you could see why no Europe and US company invest Pakistan when the Pakistan published the invest policy?

@Hamid, and also the corrupt elites, they take local & foreign loans spend it on different projects and get massive kick backs, and then they want the citizens to pay back the looted amount along with interest, while themselves have free petrol & utility allowances & non declared assets locally & abroad in relatives or friends names. So it’s basically their corrupt income via loans being paid back by the common people.

Only solution is to renegotiate with IPPs and tell them that they have earned a lot and now they should quit from these capacity charges which are totally unethical. Also and most important, there should be cases registered against those politician and bureaucrats who were part of these deals and the decisions of these cases should done in specific time frame.
