Provincial leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have denounced the purported government tactics to create hurdles towards party's peace march to South Waziristan. "We want to convey a message of peace via this march and highlight ground realities being confronting the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas, Asad Qaiser PTI provincial leader told a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Friday.
On the occasion, the former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-ordinator from FATA, Ayesha Gulalai Wazir announced to join PTI. Asad Qaiser said that the basic aims of PTI peace march was to bring real issues being faced in tribal society due to endless security forces operations and US drone attacks. "A large number of innocent civilians had been killed in so-called war against terrorism and persistent drone strikes at tribal region", he deplored. He said that tribal society was deliberately kept backward in all sectors due to non-provision of adequate health, and education facilities. "Tribal people had compelled to flee from their respective areas in wake of unjustified military operations in FATA", he observed. He said that more than 100 foreign women from different countries, including US, United Kingdom, and France would participate in the PTI peace march to South Waziristan.
