President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of renowned novelist Razia Butt, who passed away Thursday. In his condolence message the President praised late Razia Butt for her literary contributions which he said enriched our literary heritage. He said that Razia Butt had a unique style of writing that endeared her to many. The vacuum created by her sad demise would take a long time to be filled, he said.
The President prayed to Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and to give courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with magnanimity and fortitude. The President also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Gohar Ali Yousafzai of Shahbaz Garhi in Mardan District who passed away two days ago.
Late Gohar Ali Yousafzai was the first ever elected Chairman of PSF of the province having been elected to it in the PSF Convention. As an active member of People's Students Federation, Gohar Ali Yousafzai took aggressive part in the MRD movements for democracy and spent three years in various jails of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. The President in his condolence message lauded services of late Gohar Ali for democracy saying that he was a committed democrat and a fearless activist.
