Former tehsil nazim Chitral and PPP activist Sartaj Khan has termed the threat of the tendering of resignation by Prince Mohiyuddin as a drama already staged by in recent past. Shahzada Mohiyuddin, a PML-Q MNA from district Chitral has threatened resignation from his membership of the National Assembly due to protest what he attributed to stubborn attitude of the Special Secretary to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The MNA has said that the prime minister has announced development funds for district Chitral, restarting of construction work on Lowari Tunnel, Lowi hydel project, Sangoor and Nehir Hattak. However, he said that due to the attitude of the bureaucracy in Prime Minister's Secretariat it could not be materialised.
Taking exception to the threat of the member of National Assembly, the local activist of PPP recalled such kind of drama was also hatched by him one year back and today, he is once again repeating it. However, he said that the people of Chitral are now fully aware of his tactics and will never pay heed to his fraud.
Sartaj Khan said that through Prince Mohiyuddin, who himself is the member of National Assembly of PML-Q has nominated his elder son as district President of General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf led All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), which also has contacts with the leadership of PML-N.
He said that the PML-Q MNA is at a time engaged in contacts with Musharraf League, Q-League, PPP and Nawaz League for seeking the tickets of these political parties.
He said that in past the MNA has remained with PPP, ANP, Zia-ul-Haq, Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf and Chaudries of Gujrat, but later abolished relations with all these political parties.
He said that he during eight years in power corridors had not spent a single penny for the important projects of Lowari Tunnel, Lawi, Sangoor, Aveer, Nehar Hattak and Aurgauj and now when the days of his politics are numbered, he has started talking of public interest. However, he said he will no more hoodwink the people through his hallow slogans and will have to face exemplary defeat in the coming general elections. He further said that the person has always given priority to his personal interests.
