This meeting was called as a follow-up to the meeting held with Caretaker Minister for Finance, Industries and Commerce Yunus Dhaga at Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry held on 5th October 2023, where President Muhammad Farooq Shaikhani busted about the issues of Hyderabad SITE in front of Yunus Dhaga, in which he said that the infrastructure of Hyderabad SITE is on the verge of destruction, its roads, drainage, sewerage, water lines are all broken, there is no water for industries.

The Sindh Solid Waste Management has made the SITE Hyderabad a dumping station. The land of the SITE is being occupied by the encroachment mafia. None of the officials, including the MD, even visit the SITE.

Industrialists are facing problems in allotment and re-allotment of plots. No part of the site's monthly income of 50 lakhs is spent on maintenance of the site's infrastructure. There is no fire brigade facility and in the name of social security lakhs of workers working in site industries get nothing.

After listening to all these complaints, Yunus Dhaga issued strict instructions to all concerned institutions and maintenance of site infrastructure. Instructions were also issued to work on emergency basis and to hold meetings of all relevant committees every month.

Secretary Industries said that his first priority is to promote the industries of Sindh and all the industrialists to improve the production of their industries without any hindrance and help the economy of Sindh to stand on its feet.

He said that the grant of one billion ten crore rupees for the infrastructure of the Hyderabad SITE, which was approved by the Sindh Assembly, will be released as soon as the finance committee is formed by the caretaker cabinet and all the work of the infrastructure of the site will be done by the construction of the site. It will be done on the recommendations of the committee. All State Engineers will provide support for infrastructure maintenance.

He said that the waste was being dumped by the Sindh Solid Waste Management in the Hyderabad SITE, it has not only been cleaned, but the green belt will also be worked on there soon. He said that fire brigade has been given to Kotri, Nooriabad will also get fire brigade tomorrow and arrangements are being made for fire brigade for Hyderabad SITE as well.

He said that a request was made by the Chamber to reduce the prices of the plots of Dhabeji Industrial Unit on which a high level committee has been formed which will determine the prices of these plots with the advice of the industrialists. He said that the water issues of the site are also being discussed with the WASA authorities and better progress will be seen soon.

He said that the issue of 300 plots in Site Hyderabad will be settled in a few weeks and all the owners will be handed over the ownership of the plots. He said that all the records of Sindh Industrial Estate Limited are being computerized so that all complaints or registrations can be done online and within 3 days the industrialists will see the progress on their application.
