KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to develop data analytics and mathematical modelling using Artificial Intelligence (AI) under the broadening of the tax base and IT infrastructure transformation plan.
For this purpose, a high-level technical committee for data integration under the broadening of the tax base and IT infrastructure transformation plan has been constituted.
The committee comprising of Lt General Muhammad Munir Afsar, Chairman NADRA; Mir Badshah Khan Wazir, Member IR Operations FBR, Dr Nasir Khan, Member IT FBR, Karamat Ullah Khan Chaudhry, Member Digital initiatives, FBR, Gohar Ahmed Khan, Chief Projects Officer, NADRA, Syed Mushabbir Hussain, HOD, NDW, NADRA, Zain ul Abideen Sahi, Chief IT, FBR and Amir Malik, CEO PRAL.
According to the notification issued the other day, the committee will propose measures and an implementation plan for data integration for the broadening of the tax base besides reviewing FBR IT infrastructure and devising its transformation and up-gradation plan.
In addition, the committee will also suggest its recommendations for restructuring PRAL into a modern IT company besides developing data analytics and mathematical modelling with the use of AI for broadening the tax base.
The notification said that the taskforce may interact with stakeholders and suggest measures on the identified areas and would submit its recommendations, accordingly.
