Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, on Sunday accused the government and Pakistan Army of trying to use Malala attack as a pretext for launching military operation in North Waziristan agency, a private TV channel reported.
Addressing "Islam Zindabad rally in Sukkur, Fazl said that some people were playing politics on Malala's issue and trying to suppress the religious parties.
"Those who are asking religious parties to condemn attack on Malala should first denounce attacks on seminaries," he said adding that Malala was their daughter and attack on her was condemnable and no one should dictate them to condemn attack on her.
Fazl said that it seemed that Pakistan was made for abductions, killings and extortion. "Our law enforcement agencies are unable to arrest the abductors," she added. "Those who are asking us to condemn attack on Malala should first condemn attack on our madrassas," he demanded.
The JUI-F chief said no system other than Islam can be acceptable in Pakistan. Regarding MQM chief's instructions to his party to details of seminaries, the JUI-F Chief said that no one had the right to collect details and information of mosques and seminaries. Fazl also condemned United States for killing innocent people in drone attacks.
