LHC directs to resolve wardens' salary issue

The Lahore High Court here Monday disposing of a petition filed by traffic wardens Basharat Ali and others directed finance secretary Punjab to resolve dispute about withdrawal of additional benefit given in the salary of the petitioners.
The petitioners had submitted that the government included an additional allowance equal to their basic salary, however, withdrew the same after few months. They said the government could not withdraw a benefit once granted to employees. The petitioners, therefore, prayed to the court to set aside the withdrawal of additional benefit included in their salary.
