ISLAMABAD: United States President Joe Biden has addressed a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying the US will continue to stand with Pakistan to tackle the most pressing global and regional challenges and also stressed to forge a strong partnership between the nations.

It was the first high-level diplomatic communication between the US president and Pakistani prime minister since long, as relations between the two countries remained estranged during the tenure of the previous premier Imran Khan.

“Dear Mr Prime Minister: The enduring partnership between our nations remains critical to ensuring the security of our people—and people around the world—and the United States will continue to stand with Pakistan to tackle the most pressing global and regional challenges of our time,” President Biden wrote in his letter addressed to Prime Minister Shehbaz.

The text of the official communication was released to the media by the United States Embassy here on Friday in which President Biden identified the most pressing global and regional challenges of the time to be tackled collectively that includes advancing “our shared vision for a future of greater health security, economic growth, and access to education for all”.

Through our US-Pakistan “Green Alliance” framework, President Biden further stated, “we will also continue to strengthen our climate resilience, support sustainable agriculture and water management, and assist with Pakistan’s recovery from the devastating floods in 2022.”

Green Alliance framework or letter ops, Pakistan needs to solve its energy crises/economy otherwise like the famous holly wood movie dialogue, ''Washington, we are going down, repeat, going down''.
