ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Green Pakistan Initiative Headquarters in Rawalpindi. The president was briefed on the operations of the initiative and the Land Information and Management System on his arrival at the headquarters of the Green Pakistan Initiative Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also present on this occasion.
In the briefing, the president was informed about better management of water on modern lines.
Under the Green Pakistan Initiative, agriculture, canal cleaning, IT-based operations, and efficient water management in the agricultural sector were also discussed.
In the briefing, the president of Pakistan was also briefed about the concept of agricultural malls and the operations of agriculture smart farms for the convenience of farmers and the development of the agricultural sector.
The president appreciated the services of the Green Pakistan Initiative and Land Information and Management System under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The president gave assurance of full cooperation with all provinces to achieve the objectives of the Green Pakistan Initiative for the bright future of Pakistan.
