The 43rd meeting of the Board of Governors of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), presided over by the varsity's Vice Chancellor Professor Syed Jawaid Hassan Rizvi, reviewed and approved different proposals and suggestions.
The board approved the recommendations of the inspection team of Higher Education Commission to establish a faculty of postgraduate studies and research. Approval was also given for implementation of a unified pay scale for all faculties. The meeting emphasised on more efforts for the promotion of research culture at the university.
The Board also reviewed the 5th report of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) and expressed satisfaction over the achievements made by Sir Syed University.
The members who attended the meeting included Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr M D Shami, former justice Fazl-e-Ghani, Engr Muhammad Adil Usman, Cap Salini A Siddiqai (Retd.), and Registrar Shah Mahmood.-PR
