BEIJING: China’s CNOOC Limited said on Monday its Suizhong 36-2 oilfield 36-2 block development project has started production.
The Chinese oil and gas major said the project, located in China’s Liaoning Bay of Bohai Sea, is expected to achieve peak production of approximately 9,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2026.
“A total of 21 development wells are planned to be commissioned, including 16 production wells and 5 water-injection wells,” it said a news release.

CNOOC Limited holds 100% interest in the project and is the operator, it said.
