The government will remove Supreme Court reservations over Karachi situation and will implement interim order of the apex court on the law and order situation in Karachi. Interior Minister Rehman Malik said this while talking to mediapersons during a visit to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to inquire about the health of ex-PPP MNA Muhammad Afzal Chan, father of Nadeem Afzal Chan Chairman Public Accounts Committee.
The minister said that 'we should highlight those matters, which are not in the knowledge of the apex court'. To a question‚ Malik said that joint efforts are required to resolve the issues of Balochistan. He said he will give a detailed briefing to the Supreme Court on Balochistan
He further said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will take action without any discrimination following the apex court issued detailed verdict in Asghar Khan case. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has also expressed confidence in FIA, he added. The minister said he asked Nawaz Sharif to select any official of FIA for investigation of Asghar Khan case, he will appoint him.
"Arrest of people is not necessary and questioners will be given to the accused," he said while responding to a question. While responding to another question about Taliban, Rehman said the government will continue action against them. He said he held a meeting with UK ambassador to provide visa to father of Malala Yousafzai for long time.
