The Punjab University students have shown outstanding performance in various intervarsity Qiraat, painting, thematic photography and debate competitions in Punjab Youth Festival and have clinched top positions. In divisional round of Chief Minister Punjab Debate Competition 2012 at Graduate/Post Graduate level, Salman Tariq of Punjab University College of Information Technology stood 1st while Hamza Tarrar of Institute of Business Administration stood 3rd in Urdu debate.
In English debate, Shajjar Abbas of Institute of Communication Studies stood 1st. In Qiraat competition of Lahore division education sector, Muhammad Tayyab of Institute of Communication Studies stood 1st while Ammar Asim of Law College stood 2nd. In painting, Naveed Hussain and Saba Islam of College of Art and Design stood 1st and second, respectively. In thematic photography competition, Ali Ahmed of College of Art and Design stood 1st while Kashf Shah of Institute of Business Administration stood second. In Photo essay, Hasnain Mehmood of College of Art and Design secured 1st position.
