Government Girls' Middle School Shaheen Muslim Town, Peshawar, won badminton single competition held amongst the public sector girls' middle schools. The Annual Sports competitions arranged by Elementary and Secondary Education (Female) for the students of Girls Middle Schools of District Peshawar held here. District Sport Secretary Farzana Yousaf was chief guest of the event.
Students from 16 different middle schools of the district participated in the competition. Final of the Badminton single was played between Government Girls School Shaheen Muslim Town and GGMS Gulbahar No 2. Kolsoom of GGMS Shaheen Muslim Town beat Rozina of GGMS Gulbahar No 2 and thus clinched the first position. Score was 11-4, 9-11 and 11-2.
Similarly GGMS Lahori Gate defeated GGMS Karimpora, Peshawar and declared as 3rd in the competition. Score was 11-7, 10-11 and 11-3.
