KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 263,060 tonnes of cargo comprising 155,032 tonnes of import cargo and 108,028 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 155,032 comprised of 87,884 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 16,610 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 13,620 tonnes of Rock Phosphate & 36,918 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

The total export cargo of 108,028 comprised of 73,293 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 603 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 13,300 tonnes of Clinkers, 2,394 tonnes of Rice & 18,438 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

Approximately, 06 ships namely, Gulf Barakah, Ever Urban, X-Press Kohima, Cosco Glory, Crazy & Devon berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.

Around, Mm Madrid, Xin Wu Xiang Hai, Gulf Barakah & Shahrazad sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.

PORT QASIM

A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Maria Glory and Methane Alison Victory left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Lucky Star-1 and TCLC Quanzhou expected to sail on Monday.

Cargo volume of 123,405 tonnes, comprising 113,100 tonnes imports cargo and 10,305 tonnes export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Gulf Barakah and Alinya carrying Container and Palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT and MW-1 are respectively on Monday 10th March, while three more container ships, SM Mahi and MSC Positano are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Tuesday March 11th, 2025.
