Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)'s 9th Pakistan Football Federation League-2012 (PFFL-2012), featuring 13 departmental, nine clubs from provinces and regions will kick off on Tuesday (today) with matches being played at seven centres of the country ie Karachi, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal and Layyah.
A spokesman of PFF said here on Monday that on the opening day, Pak Steel will face Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD) at the Steel Town Ground, while Bin Qasim Karachi will clash against Green Star FC, Okara at the Municipal Stadium, Okara. The following departmental and club teams are participating in the 9th PFFL-2012: Departments: Pakistan Police, Pakistan Railway, Pakistan Television Vision (PTV), Pak Steel, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD), Sindh Government Press (SGP), Gawadar Port Authority (GPA), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ashraf Sugar Mill (ASM) Bahawalpur, Bhatti United Faisalabad, Pak Afghan Clearing Agency (PACA) Chaman and Insaf Afghan Company Chaman.
Club:- University FC Faisalabad, Baloch FC Quetta, Young Blood FC Sahiwal, Afghan Sports FC Quetta, Baloch FC Noushki, Green Star FC Okara, Chand FC Layyah, Eleven Star FC Ponch and CDA FC Islamabad. At the end of 9th PFFL-2012, one team from departmental leg and one from club leg ie two finalist of 9th PFFL-2012, will be promoted to 10th Pakistan Premier Football League-2013 (10th PPFL-2013). Similarly, the two teams that finished at the bottom of 9th PPFL-2012 will be relegated from 9th PPFL-2012 to 10th PPFL-2013. Top two teams that won the 1st and 2nd place in the 9th PFFL-2012 will be promoted to 10th PPFL-2013.
The spokesman said match bonus for each match is Pak Rs 15,000. Rs 10,000 will be awarded to winning team while loosing team will get Rs 5,000. In case of draw Pak Rs 7,500 will be awarded to both teams. Prize money for the champion of this league is Rs 200,000, Rs 150,000 for runner-up and Rs 100,000 for third position. Best player of the league will get Rs 40,000, best scorer of the league Rs 30,000, Best goal keeper Rs 30,000, Best Fair Play Rs 50,000, Best Referee Rs 20,000 and Best Assistant Referee will get Rs 10,000.
