Wall chalking banned

Sindh Government under section 144 CrPC has imposed ban on wall chalking containing controversial, hatred generating material, debasing holy religious personalities of Islam throughout in the province of Sindh. A handout issued here on Thursday said that the ban imposed to avert incidents causing mishaps, unrest and, hence, to maintain law and order during the month of Moharram-ul-Haram in public interest.
The police officers from the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector of concerned police station are authorised to register complaints Under Section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of section 144 CrPC against violators of the order.
