Honorary Doctor Rehman Malik was giving the people of Karachi a hard time again when he, in his wisdom, banned motorcycles from our streets not understanding what that would mean for millions of Karachiites, who have to reach their workplaces and educational institutions. Without a properly organised public transport system and CNG emergencies all around, most people save only a few who like Malik can afford a car are depending on motorcycles for their livelihood.
It was the High Court of Sindh again that by annulling this outrageous order turned out to be more in tune with the needs of this country than this so-called democratically-elected government. How come it is like this if this government was so good and successful as they want us to believe? What about the kind of 'democracy' that is bringing such a government into power? We should not forget that in Germany, Hitler was democratically-elected when he came into power and he was running a parliament all along while waging war on the world and destroyed Germany for his mistakes otherwise we would not be bullied by British and US adventurers. The same is happening again in front of our eyes. Let's not close our eyes on these facts.
