One person was injured when a mortar shell fired from unknown location hit building of a welfare organisation here late Sunday night. According to police, miscreants fired a rocket aimed at targeting American Club located in University Town area of Peshawar but it missed the target and landed at an adjacent building hired by a welfare organisation.
As a result of attack the building was partially damaged and one person sustained injuries. The injured was rushed to nearby hospital where according to hospital sources his condition was stable. The security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and held many suspects who were later released after interrogation.
