Anti-Israel protesters on Monday showed their support to the underdog Palestinians of Gaza Strip which has again become a battlefield for the Zionist's military. The angry demonstrators blamed the US and UN for their clandestine support to Israel, saying the world's superpower is behind the mass killings of innocent Palestinians.
"Israel should be eliminated," and "Palestine should be freed," were the stronger chants which the protestors were shouting outside Karachi Press Club during the day. Early in the day, Islami Jamiat Taliba (IJT) - a student wing of Jamaat Islami (JI) - appeared with handful protestors to denounce the use of force against the unarmed Palestinians by the "Zionists" army.
Students took the rally to street starting from Government Sindh Muslim Arts and Commerce College to Karachi Press Club, to show solidarity with the people of under attack in Gaza. Students were holding posters and banners inscribed with slogans to support the Palestinians and against the Jewish state. They demanded of the UN to show its mandate and step up to stop the war from escalation, which has already killed dozens of innocent people.
They also criticised the Pakistani government for its silence over the Israel's unilateral war against the unarmed Palestinians. They believed the Muslim world in particular and the UN in general are spectators to the fresh devastation. "It is sad that Pakistan's reaction to the war against Palestinians on global level has not so far come," they shouted, saying the Palestinians sacrifices will yield independence for them soon with "wiping out" of Israel from the global map.
Latter in the evening, dozens of members of Jamaat-ud-Dawa turned up to lodge their anti-Israel protest and show solidarity with Palestinians. They had lifted banners in hands and flying their faction's flags with chanting Jihadi slogans. They were shouting chants that Jihad will continue in the world to support the oppressed class of the world and uproot the powerful forces to establish peace on earth.
They said: "Those who banned the Mujahideen and put them in jails are unable to enter Pakistan." They slammed Israel for showing its military power against the unarmed Palestinians. They blamed Israel had killed innocent children and women in its "brutal" military campaign in Gaza, and said the world could not attain peace until Israeli brutalities were ended.
