Everyone is claiming to be the next prime minister prior to forthcoming general elections. Imran Khan says he will not take oath from Asif Zardari, while Mian Nawaz Sharif states that he would take oath from Zardari. Every elected prime minister is binding to take oath from the sitting president, said Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani while talking to newsmen at the residence of MPA Mehr Irshad Siyal.
Jamshed Khan Dasti, MNA, Former Minister Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi, Sardar Ashiq Khan Baloch District President, Zubaid-Ussalam Khan Sherwani General Secretary and Mazhar Pahur and Peerzada Abdul Ali Zakir Usmani were present on the occasion. Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the next election would be held between the pro and anti province forces.
He said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Mian Nawaz Sharif had signed the Charter of Democracy (CoD) and we had honoured this charter even after the death of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He said that it was a party's decision not to write a letter to Swiss authorities. Gilani said that Muslim Neague-N had claimed to bring a revolution in the country with a forward bloc or hiring the loyalties of member of other parties. Muslim League had ruled the 65 percent population of Pakistan for five years but it had neglected the Southern Punjab.
Gilani said that we had won seats in Jalalpur Pirwala, Abdul Qadar Khan Gilani in Rahimyar Khan, Syed Musa Gilani in Multan, Natasha Daultana's Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Uch Sharif, Sargodha and Gujranawala. Muslim League-Nawaz had merely won a few seats. Mian brothers were not a limited company and action should be taken against them as per judgement of the Supreme Court. Gilani said I had not given employment to Indians and I had provided jobs to the people of my country but I was sentenced to five years which is equal to a decade according to Jail manual.
