Vice President of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) and founder of Kite Flying Festival Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen has urged the Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafiq to include representative of All Pakistan Kite Flying Association (APKFA) in the committee formed for Basant Festival.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, Khawaja Nadeem said that the Dilkash Lahore Project Committee in its recent meeting had constituted a sub-committee by name "Observing Kite-Flying Day Committee" to submit recommendations to City District Government Lahore as well as the main committee but no representation had been given to the AKFA.
He said that in the present scenario, there is a dire need of a well-thought strategy to provide relief to masses as massive energy crisis and deteriorating law & order situation have badly hit people of Punjab.
