The Karachiities found no respite from the continued lawlessness in 2012, as the city witnessed scores of bomb blasts, grenade attacks, banks robberies and kidnapping for ransom cases. The year 2012 has appeared nightmare for the dwellers of the country's financial hub, as the city witnessed 22 bomb blasts, over 2 dozens grenade attacks, 22 bank robberies and around 1004 kidnapping for ransom cases.
Although the law enforcement agencies have adopted atrocious approach of jamming cell phone signals to return the city's business and social activities back to normalcy, the already frustrated Karachiities have witnessed several unusual incidents like bomb blasts, kidnapping for ransoms, grenade attacks, robberies, rallies, protests, etc, tarnishing the hope of any good in the new year.
