Anton Devcich fiery 70 has put Lahore Qalandars on track against the defending Champions Peshawar Zalmi, as the Qalandars posted a massive 172 runs total in do or die game on Friday.

Peshawar, who are on brink of missing out the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League, won the toss and invited Lahore to bat first. Qalandars lost in-form Fakhar Zaman and skipper Brandon McCullum with just 40 runs on the score board.

Agha Salman and Devcich showed some responsibility and took the team total to 95.Wahab Riaz dismissed promising Agha Salman for 28 off 25 balls.

But Devcich remained undeterred, bringing up his 50 from 29 balls to keep the run-rate flying. He was at 70 from 42 balls when he tried to slog and was caught by Mohammad Hafeez at short fine leg.

Gulraiz Sadaf  and Sohail Akhtar added final touch to their innings by scoring quick 26(21) and 30(16) respectively.

This is a must-win match for Peshawar, who are hoping to qualify for the elimination stage of the tournament.
