Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday presided a meeting to review the progress of development schemes pertaining to education, health, roads and coal sectors initiated by present government, held at Chief Minister House.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (P&D), Arif Ahmed Khan, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Naveed Kamran Baloch, Secretary Education, Fazalullah Pechuho, Secretary Health, Aftab Khatri, Secretary Works & Services, Kazi Shahid Pervaiz, Secretary Coal Aijaz Ali Khan, Special Secretary (P&D), Dr Noorul Haq, Principal Secretary to CM, Muhammad Siddique Memon and other.
Sindh CM said that education and educational activities, health and healthy atmosphere, roads and communication facilities and coal production are the main and important sectors of development and present government has made emphasis to give priority to these sectors in the layer interest of province.
He said that those ongoing schemes which are in progress must be given priority and should be completed as early as possible and that also during the remaining tenure of present government. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that as per manifesto of PPP government, education is being provided in every nook and corner of the province and health facilities also further extended in remote areas.
He said that there are many schools lying closed in various areas of province and efforts be made to make them functional. He further said that district headquarter hospitals, Taluka H.Q. hospitals, trauma centres, special health projects have been initiated aimed at to provides treatment facilities to needy and poor patients. Later, provincial secretaries gave details of progress reports and apprised the meeting about efforts being made to complete the same early and within stipulated time of tenure of present elected government.-PR
