Prominent political personality of district Kohistan, Malik Sher Baz Khan of Palas Tuesday called on Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Haider Khan Hoti and announced joining ANP along with his hundred of associates.
Those present on the occasion were included Provincial Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussein, ANP MPA from Kohistan, Engineer Sajjadullah Khan, provincial general secretary ANP, Arbab Mohammad Tahir, Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Syed Masoom Shah, president, ANP district Kohistan, Hamayun Khan and Amanullah Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Sher Baz Khan said that he has taken decision of joining ANP after witnessing unprecedented political successes and implementation of its electoral manifesto. He said the initiating of development schemes in different sectors during last five years for the abolition of the backwardness of Kohistan reflecting the love of the Chief Minister Hoti with he people of the district.
The Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti termed the decision of Malik Sher Baz Khan as historic saying it will bear far-reaching affects on the politics of district Kohistan. He said that the people of Kohistan are not less political mature than any part of the province.
He said that during last by-election the people of Kohistan expressed confidence in the candidate of ANP, which will prove a milestone for the development of the area. The joining of the active popular political personality like Malik Sher Baz Khan, he said will help strengthen the party in the district.
The chief minister said that after the elections of 2008, the elected government fully concentrated on the development of backward and far-flung areas including Kohistan. He said the joining of large number political workers and leaders proving ANP as biggest and single political force of the province. He said the workers of ANP had rendered huge sacrifices for the restoration of peace in the province.
