PML-N Central leader Mariam Nawaz Shaif has said that no country could progress without their women participation in every field of life. She said that the men should have to support women and develop self-confidence at home. She was addressing the book launching ceremony of "Suno Pyari Beti" by Senator Razina Alam Khan on Tuesday.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran presided the book launching ceremony. Renowned journalist Arifa Subah Khan, renowned columnist Sofia Bedar, senior faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
She said only education can change the fate of the children. She also said that to educate a woman is to educate the whole society. She said that it was essential to take care of women's education so society could be prospering and it would be fruitful for the country.
Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran in his address said that it was necessary to adopt reading habit to promote education in this regard the students should have to gain knowledge for all aspects of life so that it was important addition for their mental growth. He said that an attractive person had abilities of lively heart, good nature and honesty in himself. He congratulated the author to highlight the women's issues in the book. Razina Alam Khan said that a woman had to do her work freely. She said that our holy Prophet (PBUH) had a great respect for the women and we should have also followed His teachings.
