Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah, said that a good beginning has been made towards ensuring peace and stability; and creating an environment wherein people themselves can become partner in the ongoing efforts of the government for ensuring their well-being in Fata and they expect a better future for coming generations.
Addressing delegations of elders, hailing from different parts of the province and Fata who called on him at Governor's House, Peshawar on Sunday, the Governor highly welcomed the good gesture being expressed by them and further stated that their role and contribution towards making this possible are indeed of great strength.
A delegation of elders from Lower Dir, led by a prominent figure of the area, Mahboob Shah and also comprising Mohammad Zaman Khan, Ihsanullah Khan, Zafar Hussain, Rasheedullah and Haji Mir Akbar also called on the Governor at Governor's House, Peshawar.
Responding to various proposals put forward by the elders from FATA, the Governor said that he has almost made up his mind how to carry forward the development activities and every possible step will be taken to ensure better utilisation of resources; ease life for affected people and making good headway for generating economic activities with accelerated pace.
