The Election Commission of Pakistan arranged a voter's awareness consultation workshop for various celebrities from sports, media and entertainment industry here on Sunday. The Additional Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Afzal Khan presided over the consultation workshop whereas Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab S M Tariq Qadri welcomed the guests.
He said it is first time in the history of Pakistan that Voter's Awareness Campaign has been formally conducted by ECP at federal, provincial and district levels. He urged participants to cooperate with ECP in fulfilling this national duty and stressed the importance of casting vote in the upcoming general elections-2013.
