An out-of-the-box solution will have to be found to the Karachi issue, President Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday. The President said that the alliance between PPP‚ MQM‚ and ANP would be bolstered, adding that it had blocked the way of non-state actors. He was addressing in Karachi after laying foundation stones of various development projects in Sindh.
Earlier‚ President Zardari laid the foundation stone of the 44-kilolmetre-long Garho-Shah Bandar-Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway in Thatta. The President also laid the foundation stone of Benazir Housing Scheme under which 50‚000 plots, measuring 120 square yards, would be distributed among the poor and deserving people in all 23 districts of Sindh.
President Zardari also laid the foundation stone of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Health scheme under which 39 taluka hospitals would be upgraded while 41 trauma centers set up in all districts of the province. He also laid the foundation stones of a trauma centre each to be built in Badin and Shikarpur talukas.
