A Pakistani businessman is launching a Dutch airline in Holland, Rafey International Airlines (RIA), in collaboration with a Dutch partner, and it will commence flights soon to eight destinations, including Lahore. "RIA is established as a public limited company in Holland, and will be starting operations within months. The management's mission is to provide reliable, efficient and courteous service to its passengers at a competitive price," stated RIA Managing Director Azhar Ahmad while taking to Business Recorder here on Thursday.
According to him, in the initial phase the airline will have daily flights from Amsterdam (Holland) to New York, Washington, Chicago and Toronto. They will operate three flights every week from Amsterdam to Lahore and weekly two flights to Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta. RIA's fleet comprises of Boeing 747-400 COMBI, AIRBUS-A330 and Boeing 777. The airline aims to provide extra ordinary pleasant and safest journey by using modern technology across the world. Under the name Rafey International Airlines, the airline has enrolled in the Hague Chamber of Commerce.
He disclosed that this is the first ever airline that is offering discount for Pakistani students to study abroad and it will endeavour to avoid delay in flights by providing extra plane on board. "The airline will be the pioneer of developing commercial eminence of the economy class passengers, as they won't only be offering superior service during flight but they would also have the option of having different cuisines as per choice in the CIP lounge of the airline at any airport. RIA will be the only airline dedicated to avoid delay in flights by providing extra plane on board. The flight schedule will soon be appearing on the website. The passengers would also have the facility to get the status of any passenger of economy class converted into business class at the counter of the airline by paying extra charges," he added.
Ahmad revealed that Rafey International will also be offering cargo services with a dictum of safe and timely delivery of commodities around the globe. The airline will also be providing free home delivery regardless of the commodity in transit, he added. The Pakistani businessman praises Netherlands for its safe and good investment environment, the entrepreneurial spirit and the gateway airport. "We see a Dutch airline as a good investment opportunity," he added.
