The Judicial Commission of Pakistan has recommended names of six advocates Shoaib Saeed, Atir Mehmood, Shahid Bilal Hassan, Alia Neelum, Shahzad Mazhar and Abid Aziz Sheikh, for elevation to Lahore High Court(LHC). The Judicial Commission met in Islamabad last night under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
With these appointments the number of working judges in the LHC will rise to 41. The sanctioned strength for LHC is 60 and it still needs another 19 members at the bench.
