Unannounced power outages irk residents

Unannounced load shedding in Rawalpindi city and cantonments have reached duration of more than 10 hours a day, making the lives of residents miserable. The residents of Misrial, Chungi No 22, Mareer, Sadr, Dhok Choudrian and other areas, expressing their concerns, said that they are in a continuous torment due to power outages.
They said that there is no schedule of the load shedding, and company of electricity supply is not following announced schedule. The residents said that the electricity outages also interrupted the water supply to the localities and they have to fetch water from far off areas. Moreover, traffic signals in most of the busy chowks of the city remain off due to the load shedding, creating problems in regulating traffic on the city roads. The residents demanded of the concerned authorities to end the prolonged and unannounced load shedding in the city and cantonment areas.
