Power woes: Balochistan Zamindar Action Committee calls off strike

On the special directions of the Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, Federal Secretary Water & Power Sikandar Ahmed Rai and the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman Syed Raghib Abbas Shah had a meeting with the representatives of the Zamindar Action Committee Balochistan and apprised them of the steps being taken to improve power situation in Balochistan.
The delegation was informed that the power situation will be improved very soon not only on agriculture feeders but also in urban areas because of the aforesaid measures. On the assurance of improvement in the power situation, Zamindar Action Committee Balochistan announced to call off their province-wise shutter down strike and sit-in on March 30.
