Business community hails government's decision to induct their reps in Sindh cabinet
The business community has termed the caretaker government's decision to induct businessmen in provincial caretaker cabinet of Sindh as a right decision. They also congratulated the Governor of Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh former Justice Zahid Qurban Alvi for appointing as them Advisor/Minister in the interim Sindh government.
Former President FPCCI and Patron-in-Chief Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), S M Muneer said that the induction of businessmen representatives in caretaker set-up of Sindh is a welcome move and the entire business community has lauded the decision to induct Sardar Yasin Malik, Khalid Tawab, Haroon Faruqi as caretaker ministers in Sindh's cabinet and Mian Zahid Hussain as an advisor.
He said that the business representatives taken in the cabinet are well reputed and have vast experience in trade and commerce besides having administrative experience. Chairman KATI, Zubair Chayya hoped that the caretaker set-up would strive hard to eliminate terrorism, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and bring normalcy in country's economic backbone-Karachi.
While congratulating Sardar Yasin, Khalid Tawab and Mian Zahid Hussain, he said they would be having trade and industry's full co-operation in their endeavours during their tenure in the Sindh cabinet. Meanwhile, in a press statement, Chairman, Businessmen Group and former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) , Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen and former Presidents-KCCI, Tahir Khaliq, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Anjum Nisar, President KCCI Muhammad Haroon Agar, Senior Vice President Shamim Firpo, Vice President Nasir Mehmood have expressed cordial felicitations to Haroon Farooki, Vice Chairman Businessmen Group and former President-KCCI on his appointment as the Advisor/Minister in the caretaker provincial cabinet of Sindh. They stated that Haroon Faruqi, since last several decades, has been rendering public service to the business and industrial community of Karachi.
He holds rich experience and deep insight about the economic and commerce affairs of Pakistan and Sindh province and hoped that he would extend his best support as the Advisor/Minister to the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh in performance of the duties and responsibilities in the interim government of Sindh.
Haroon Faruqi in his statement to the press and media conveyed deep gratitude and compliments to the Governor of Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh former Justice Zahid Qurban Alvi for reposing their confidence and nominating him as the Advisor/Minister of the caretaker cabinet of Sindh province.
He assured his best possible co-operation and support to the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh and the cabinet ministers to discharge the assigned duties and responsibilities with honesty and dedication for the larger interest of the Sindh province.
