The week-long solo exhibition of Professor Zammurad Safdar's paintings under the title "Image makes reputation" opened at the Coopera Art Gallery, here on Friday. Professor Zammurad is the Dean of Fine Arts Department, Lahore College for Women University. Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr Sabiha Mansoor was the chief guest. She said the painting exhibition gives message at the global level that we Pakistani are not terrorist, we are peace loving people.
Professor Zammurad said, "My recent body of work is about the social phenomena which advocates to harsh reality. If you view on the atlas, we as Pakistani nation are pixilated on the world map. Our identity and reputation is in a critical nuance. Art critics said that primary purpose of this show is to raise a serious sense of responsibility among all in the sphere of image making and the mode of prevailing as well, how an image formed and can be taken into fictional space.
