Top political leaders: ministry chalks out security plan

The Interior Ministry has drawn up a security plan for the top leadership of political parties during the election campaign. Politicians have been placed in two categories and they would be given security as per the new plan and the authorities have started contacting these leaders.
According to sources, the Interior Ministry is working on emergency basis in co-ordination with the provincial governments to ensure security for the top leaders who have been placed in first category including Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Faryal Talpur, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and others. The ministry has directed for foolproof security to the top political leaders and former Prime Minister's security has been revised according to the Blue Book. Provincial governments have been asked to withdraw additional security staff and vehicles from their duty.
