Five people died in a shooting incident in an apartment complex near Seattle in the north-west US state of Washington, news reports said Monday. The dead included a man shot by several police officers as he lay on the ground in a parking lot and reached for a gun, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said, according to The News Tribune, a newspaper in Tacoma, Washington.
The shooting happened Sunday night in Federal Way, a town near Seattle. Three men were found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex and a man and a woman were found dead inside. Schrock said the motive of the shooting remained unclear. Police in Federal Way were not immediately available for comment. Schrock said no arrests have been made, and that police are looking for witnesses.
