The sports club of OGDCL organised a Spring Sports Gala of cricket, table tennis and football teams in all the four provinces during the last two months which concluded here at Jinnah Stadium Sports Complex Islamabad on April 21, where a football match of OGDCL officers and staff were played the final match which was won by OGDCL Staff football team by 6-2 goals.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Masood Siddiqui MD/CEO OGDCL who presented trophies and shields to the winner and runner up teams of cricket, table tennis and foot ball. Addressing the fans of the sports Masood Siddiqui highlighted the importance of the sports for outstanding performance of the employees. He said that the games demands concentration dedication, hard work and patience to win the same qualities are the basic need of good performance in the field of exploration and production, so that new hydrocarbons resources could be discovered to meet the energy deficiency of the country.
He lauded and appreciated the efforts of the sports club organisers to arrange these games around the vicinity of OGDCL fields and locations in the far flung areas of the country.
He further added that this sports gala would create harmony, co-operation, dedication and tolerance to achieve the set goals. He stated that OGDCL employees were working hard to discover new oil and gas fields to strengthen the economy of the country. Later on he awarded trophies to the winners and the runner up of the cricket, table tennis and foot ball teams.
