The exporter community has expressed deep concern over the proposal of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to cut down its support to Sialkot industry by reducing the number of stalls at Medica-2013, ISP and A+A. Addressing a press conference, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Sheikh Abdul Majid along with chairmen of other trade bodies termed it discrimination with export-oriented city (Sialkot).
Addressing a joint press conference here on Friday, they said those trade fairs were only platform where they could exhibit their products and interact with the foreign buyers easily. Speaking on the occasion, President SCCI Sheikh Abdul Majid said that Made in Sialkot products needed proper space to be displayed, but with this reduction great loss could be anticipated for exports "since our products will fail to catch buyer's attention, hence resulting in fewer orders."
