Expressing reservations over the acts of caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, former Punjab Chief Minister and the PML-N senior leader Shahbaz Sharif accused Khoso of running state affairs at the whims of President Asif Ali Zardari. "I would request caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso to respect the public mandate being bound politically, morally and legally," he said while talking to reporters at his Raiwind residence on Friday.
Criticising the caretaker Prime Minister, Shahbaz said he was making appointments on highest position and warned severe reaction. He claimed that PM Khoso was making the appointments on the advice of President Zardari. "No body is listening to the voice of truth," he added.
To a question, he said that it was baseless allegation that Punjab administration was not impartial. "The Punjab was the only province where right from Chief Secretary to Patwari were transferred. How can rigging take place when the caretaker government had reshuffled the entire bureaucracy in Punjab, he questioned? He added that European Union had also declared that elections were 90 percent free and fair. The remaining 10 percent constituencies are not in Punjab, he said.
